Abstract:

Background Ultrasound is the first line modality in evaluation of pelvic masses in female patients. It is helpful in detection of masses and also in determining origin of them. Tissue characterization is possible with gray scale but Doppler study is quite necessary and considers as complimentary method. Most of the time, it should be performed in vaginal US exam. Existence of vascularity and also spectral pattern of detected vessels may help the differential diagnosis. We are going to review different pelvic masses and their Doppler finding.
